Earlier today, Lando Norris released a vlog on YouTube (linked below) outlining his experience recieving a model at Madame Tussauds.

This is important to me for two reasons, the fist being that I am a big McLaren F1 fan, having followed the team from Ayrton Senna era.

The second reason being that my wife is the Senior PR Manager at Merlin Entertainments, which operate Madame Tussauds. Therefore, she worked with Lando (and more recently Harry Kane) on the project. She even makes an appearance at the end of the video, during the reveal.

In the video, Lando highlights the process to create model, which is an interesting intersection of modern technology, with 3D scanning, combined with human expertise with sculpting, moulding, etc.

From initial sitting to press launch, a typical Madame Tussauds figure takes around four months to make, utilising a team of around twenty skilled artists and costs £150,000.
