The iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 back plate. Unfortunately, unlike the front, the back is not made from gorilla glass and therefore is more likely to crack or shatter if dropped (like mine did).

The New Back Plate

The new back plate. You can pick them up on eBay, however watch out for low quality versions and ensure you get the entire back plate, which includes:

• Glass Rear Cover
• Flash Diffuser
• Camera Lens
• Mounting Frame

The Two Screws

Thankfully replacing the back plate is very easy, simply remove the two PH000 screws.

Remove the Back Plate

Once the screws are removed the back plate can be removed by sliding upwards.

The Naked iPhone 4

Once the back plate has been removed the iPhone 4 internals are exposed.

The New Back Plate

Install the new back plate by simply reversing the removal process (align the mounts and slide down).

The Finished Product

Finally replace the two screws and marvel at your "good as new" iPhone 4.
