Verbs for iPhone

Print Article I'm a big believer in Apps doing one thing really well, instead of trying to do lots of things ok. I am a big user of Google Talk and have been waiting since the launch of the iOS App Store for a purpose built Google Talk application that meets my needs.
I've tried IM+ and BeejiveIM, however they are too busy for my liking and attempt to be the one-stop instant messaging client for the iPhone, supporting a number of different services (AIM, MSN, Facebook, etc). Personally I don't need access to these other services, just Google Talk, and I prefer my applications to be simple, minimal and intuitive. The "all in one" applications tend to be completely the opposite. Thankfully after two years, the search is over...
Introducing Verbs, the perfect Google Talk instant messaging client for the iPhone, by #include tech. Verbs is exactly how all applications should be, with its elegant, uncluttered user interface and simple intuitive design that just works.
When you first launch Verbs you will be presented with a list of your Google Talk accounts. You also have the option to connect to CloudApp, which is a free service for securely sharing files online.

Once you have selected a Google Talk account you will see your buddy list, including their status and avatar. From here you can send them an IM, add them to your favourites or view their profile.

Verbs fully supports iOS 4.x multi-tasking, so it can maintain your status even when you move away from the application.
Normally when I get an application I immediately have a list of things I wish the developers would add or fix. In this case it is the opposite, I hope that #include tech leave the application exactly as it is and spend their time porting the code to the iPad. In reality, i'm sure the developers will look to include additional IM services, I just hope they can maintain the simple design that makes this applications so great.
You can grab Verbs now from the App Store for £1.79.
