Introducing Upload Robots

Last week I published the article "Introducing Droplr", which is a Mac application designed to make file sharing quick and easy. Today I will be previewing Upload Robots, a web application that focuses more on private storage, instead of sharing.

Upload Robots introduces itself as "an online thumbdrive; a thumbdrive that you cannot lose and will never break. In a matter of seconds you can upload, store, download, share and access all of your files online".

The principle of "online storage" is very common, however Upload Robots manages to rise to the top of the pack thanks to its exceptional AJAX driven user interface, lightning-fast upload speeds and guarantee of no advertisements, ever.

The service can be used for free, however you will only have a maximum of 2GB of storage and a 10MB maximum upload size. If you require more then that you can upgrade to the "Pro" account for $5 per month, which will expand the service to 25Gb of storage and a 250MB maximum upload size.

I only use the free service and find it to be a very useful addition to working life. Once signed-up you simply click "Choose file to upload" to get started.

Upload Robots will then instantly start uploading your file.

Once complete you are able to download the file from any device, anywhere in the world. It also provides you with a file link which allows you to quickly share the file (similar to Droplr).

Upload Robots is completely web driven, meaning as long as you have a device that can access the Internet and have a modern web browser you should be able to use this service without any issues. I suggest you head over to Upload Robots now and check it out for yourself.
