Print Article Microsoft Office 365, previously known as Business Productivity Online Services (BPOS) is a subscription based service that combines the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and hosted versions of Microsoft's Server products (including Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and Lync Server), delivered and accessed over the Internet.
Microsoft have a number of different plans available depending on your needs, scaling from professional use right up to the Enterprise. The overall aim of the service is to provide all users access to the entire Microsoft productivity suite, without the need for a physical deployment and all the additional IT resources, expertise and costs that come with it.
As part of the beta anyone can sign up to the service abd give it a try, although due to demand, enrollment can take up to two weeks. For more information I suggest you head over to the official Office 365 website.
