MacUpdate Spring Bundle

Another day, another software bundle, however this one is special. Over the past few years the MacUpdate software bundles have become legendary, bringing top Mac applications together at a significantly discounted price.

This years MacUpdate spring bundle includes eleven Mac applications for just £32, which would normally cost £240.

As you can see from the list you get the latest version of VMware Fusion, which is an application I use daily (see my comparison review and performance tips), as well as a few other of my favourite applications such as PDFpen, Snapheal and Boom.

Normally in a software bundle I look for one great application to validate the purchase, however with his bundle I could easily argue that every application is worth the asking price (VMware Fusion alone would normally cost £32). Therefore this is a no brainer for the majority of Mac users and I suggest you head over to the MacUpdate website now, before it's too late (only 14 days remain).

Mac Software Bundles

One of the cool things about the Mac is the great software bundles that are released every year. Today we have two bundles with a saving of over $700, which makes them perfect for the holiday season.

First up is MacUpdate, which is offering twelve applications usually worth $546 for just $49.99 (£32).

As with all Mac software bundles you only really have to want one of the applications to warrant the asking price. In this case I believe the stand out applications are 1Password, DEVONthink and Flux. Check out the developers websites for more information and free trials.

The second bundle is the Indy Mac Gift Pack, which is offering six applications for $60 (£39).

Although with this bundle you are paying more for less, the quality of the applications is very good. Both Delicious Library 2 and Acorn are worth the asking price alone, which if bought normally would set you back $90 (£58). Acorn is one of my favourite Mac applications and comes highly recommended.

Remember, both of these software bundles are available for a limited time only so make sure you don't miss out.

The MacUpdate Bundle Returns

Every few months MacUpdate release their latest Mac software bundle. This gives you the opportunity to get a load of top Mac applications for a heavily discounted price. The current bundle is only available for another eleven days, so let's see what it has to offer:

Toast 10 Titanium - a popular disc burning utility and iOS media converter.
Live Interior 3D Standard - a powerful interior design application.
My Living Desktop - allows you to use video as your desktop (like Windows DreamScene).
Espionage 2 - allows you to encrypt and password protect folders, straight from the Finder.
ShareTool 2 - enables Macs on different networks connect with each other.
Get Backup Pro - is a backup and disk cloning utility, with a file/folder synchronisation capability.
Cashculator - is a personal finance forecasting application.
MindNode Pro - a mind-mapping application that helps to visually organise your thoughts.
Concentrate - is an application that helps you focus on a single task, by eliminating distractions.
Voila 3 - a simple screen capturing application.
Compartments - an elegant software inventory.
Vitamin-R - a productivity tool, allowing you to split large tasks into short "time slices".

These twelve applications would normally cost you £290, however thanks to MacUpdate you can grab them all (fully licensed) for just £32!

The great thing about these bundles is that you only need to be interested in one application to make it worth the asking price. For example, the excellent Roxio Toast 10 Titanium is normally £65 by itself, therefore if you were considering buying this application, you can now pay half the price and get eleven other applications thrown in for free.

MacUpdate Promo Bundle

This is one of the main reasons why I love being a Mac user. Over the past month we have seen the MacHeist NanoBundle2 and TheMacSale offering loads of quality Mac applications at a heavily discounted prices.

Today MacUpdate have unveiled their new software bundle, which includes eleven top Mac applications worth $425, available today for just $49.99 (£33).

The obvious stand out application is Parallels Desktop, which is the main competitor to VMWare Fusion and allows you to run other operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc) as virtual machines on your Mac. Parallels Desktop 5 would usually cost you £59.99 alone and therefore if you are in the market for a virtual machine product this is the perfect time to buy.

Another cool application is Timeline 3D, which allows you to create amazing time lines for presentation with just a few simple clicks. This is the perfect example of a small, simple application that is great at a specific task. I highly recommend it.

In my opinion if software developers want to cut out piracy then they should take more advantage of these bundle offers, because at these prices you would be stupid not to buy.

The MacUpdate Promo Bundle is set to last 15 days so I suggest you head over to MacUpdate and check out the applications in more detail.
