Introducing MacHeist NanoBundle2

On Saturday I wrote about the return of MacHeist. Well today MacHeist revealed their new NanoBundle. The bundle includes seven Mac applications usually costing $260, but you can get them today for $19.99 (£13) and if that's not reason enough, 25% will be donated straight to charity.

So what are the seven applications on offer?

  1. MacJournal
  2. RipIt
  3. Clips
  4. Flow
  5. CoverScout
  6. Tales of Monkey Island
  7. RapidWeaver

As with all the bundles offered by MacHeist you only need to have an interest in one or two of the applications to warrant the asking price. In this case I would suggest MacJournal and RipIt. MacJournal is a great application which I use to draft and organise my blog, however it also has many powerful features such as voice and video recording integration that makes it perfect for a number of different tasks. RipIt is a simple application that allows you to backup your DVD's on to your Mac. I previewed it a few weeks ago so I suggest you check out my article for more details.

As with all MacHeist bundles I suggest you head over to their website for details and videos on each of the applications. Be quick though as the bundle is only on offer for seven days.

The Next MacHeist

I have previously written about the amazing offers on Mac software from MacHeist. Well now they are back and it looks like they are building up to their next heist. To get things started they are offering a copy of Squeeze for free.

Squeeze by LateNiteSoft is a background file compressor, which uses the new HFS-compression technology built in to Snow Leopard to transparently compress folders you have selected. The great thing is that even after the folder has been compressed, Mac OS X will still be able to read the files like normal, they will just take less disk space. This can be really useful for people with thousands of high resolution photos.

Squeeze is from the same team that brought us the popular Xslimmer and would normally cost $9.95.

To get your free copy of Squeeze head over to the MacHeist homepage. Also be sure to check back on March 2nd when they will reveal the complete heist.

MacHeist is Back

MacHeist is a website that resells Mac OS X applications as a bundle for a limited time. These bundles are always heavily discounted, allowing you to get as many as ten great Mac Applications for a fraction of the retail price.

The service works by offering five or six applications up front and then unlocking additional applications after a certain number of users have signed up for the bundle.

So far there have been three main MacHeists which have all been incredibly successful, with over 4 million licences distributed. I have participated in all three and got some amazing applications, such as: Acorn, LittleSnapper, World of Goo, Speed Download 4, AppZapper, CSSEdit, DEVONthink, Disco, Rapidweaver and TextMate to name just a few.

To build the hype for MacHeist 4 a "MacHeist nanoBundle" has just been unveiled. The nanoBundle only runs for seven days (so you have to be quick) however all bundled applications are offered 100% free. No cacthes, just simply sign up and download your applications/licences.

The current MacHeist nanoBundle has the following six applications on offer (saving you $154):

Both ShoveBox and WriteRoom are great applications and definitely worth picking up. Head over to MacHeist now, before it's to late.
