Print Article Today Apple silently released the highly anticipated updates to the iMac range.

The update includes four models, with 21.5" or 27" IPS displays, Intel's latest Sandy Bridge architecture, AMD (ATi) graphics and Thunderbolt. Apple have stated the new iMac range is 70% faster then the previous generation (which was also extremely fast). Full details of the four models can be seen below:
- 21.5" 2.5GHz Quad Core i5, AMD 6750M, 500GB - £999
- 21.5" 2.7GHz Quad Core i5, AMD 6770M, 1TB - £1249
- 27" 2.7GHz Quad Core i5, AMD 6770M, 1TB - £1399
- 27" 3.1GHz Quad Core i5, AMD 6970M, 1TB - £1649
Intel Core i7 and SSD are also available as build to order.
Overall this is a great update (and price drop), but the most exciting new feature is that the 27" iMac now includes dual Thunderbolt, which for the first time allows you to connect two additional external displays. Engadget already have this setup running, with two 30" Dell displays providing a total pixel count of 11,878,400! That should be enough for anyone.
