Introducing Airlock

Print Article The developers over at The M.H.A have recently released a new Mac application called Airlock. This application aims to allow you to lock your Mac using just your iPhone or iPod Touch and the power of Bluetooth.
Once installed the application appears as a System Preferences pane which enables you to synchronise your iPhone or iPod Touch and set the activation range. If you move your iPhone or iPod Touch outside the activation range it will automatically lock your Mac, and only when you return to within the range will it unlock.

In my experience the application works ok, however, I found the activation detection to be a little inaccurate and also when connected with the Apple wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse, it occasionally resulted in my Bluetooth connection dropping. I do really like the idea and am sure that with each new version it will only get better. I suggest you try it out for yourself now at themha.com.
